Amazon Home & Furniture Product Development Specialist

CNY 6,000–8,000/month · 13-month compensation · Performance bonus · Year-end bonus

Job ID: J010023 Own the end-to-end development of home and furniture products for European and North American markets, translating market insight into differentiated, compliant, commercially viable products from concept through post-launch review.

01

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor European and North American home and furniture markets and the Amazon ecosystem, using search, sales, pricing, reviews, social media, and industry signals to assess customer needs, market size, emerging trends, and product opportunities.
  2. Build product development plans aligned with category strategy, defining target users, use cases, price bands, core functions, differentiation, and launch timing while strengthening priority subcategories and evaluating new categories.
  3. Translate market findings into clear product requirements and work with design, sourcing, quality, and suppliers through sampling, quotation, testing, refinement, and mass production to deliver each milestone on schedule.
  4. Analyze competing products across construction, materials, features, cost, customer feedback, and after-sales issues; convert findings into validated selling points, product materials, sales guidance, and internal training content.
  5. Improve existing products using operating data and customer feedback, addressing construction, materials, packaging, assembly experience, and quality while optimizing cost without compromising customer value or standards.
  6. Build product profitability models covering purchase cost, packaging dimensions, international freight, FBA or overseas-warehouse charges, marketplace fees, and target selling price; assess commercial viability and recommend improvements.
  7. Conduct preliminary patent, trademark, and design-risk searches, escalate potential issues for professional review, and adjust product proposals to reduce intellectual-property exposure.
  8. Identify applicable industry standards, certification, and testing requirements; coordinate compliance documents, testing, and certification while ensuring mass-produced goods remain consistent with the approved specification.
  9. Track post-launch traffic, conversion, reviews, returns, quality, and profitability; lead issue resolution, version improvements, replenishment, or exit recommendations throughout the product lifecycle.
02

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above and CET-4 English or equivalent written-English proficiency, with the ability to review market research, marketplace information, and basic compliance documentation.
  2. At least one year of experience in Amazon private-label product development, cross-border e-commerce product development, or home and furniture products; end-to-end experience launching a new product is preferred.
  3. Familiarity with market research, competitor analysis, review mining, and product-requirement definition, with the ability to use common e-commerce data and productivity tools to support evidence-based decisions.
  4. Understanding of common home and furniture materials, construction, manufacturing processes, packaging, transportation, and quality risks; relevant supplier resources or supplier-management experience is preferred.
  5. Working knowledge of cost, logistics, and profit analysis, including the impact of sourcing, packaging, freight, warehousing, marketplace fees, and pricing on commercial performance.
  6. Basic understanding of intellectual-property searches, product certification, and compliance workflows, with the judgment to identify risk and coordinate professional review and corrective action.
  7. Structured and commercially curious, with strong project ownership, cross-functional communication, and problem-resolution skills; able to prioritize accurately across multiple concurrent development projects.
